Together, we also successfully delivered a community skip scheme to allow residents to dispose of any unwanted rubbish for FREE and to educate residents on how to correctly dispose of their waste.
South East Wales Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club
The SEW Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club is one of the biggest and longest established clubs in the UK. They have access to sites within the Brecon Beacons National Park and regularly enjoy flying high over the highest peaks within this rugged and scenic region. They provide a structure and focus for their sport in the region and pride themselves on protecting access to flying sites for future generations of free flyers to enjoy. The club is a member of UK national body for our sport, the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA). The club members hold pilot ratings issued by the BHPA, from beginner to advanced. The SEW Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club have supported my voluntary projects since 2021 and have continuously funded my fly tipping clean up efforts to make the Merthyr & Gelligaer Common a cleaner and more safer area for people, wildlife and livestock to enjoy.
Taff Container Services
Taff Container Services are a family run skip hire service located in Treharris, Merthyr Tydfil. They offer a full range of mini, midi and large skips including open and covered. They can also deliver top soil and aggregates to your door. They provide skips for private customers as well as local businesses and industries within the South, East Wales area. Since February 2021, Taff Container Services have provided a number of skips free of charge to help me clean up illict dumping on the Merthyr & Gelligaer Common. More recently, Taff Container Services have sponsored the cost to dispose of hundreds of tyres from the Bedlinog side of the Common.
Bryn Group
Bryn Group provides a wide range of farming, quarrying and recycling services in Hengoed and the surrounding areas. At the quarry, aggregate products are made including Blue Pennant Sandstone. The group's recycling centre converts food waste into soil conditioners and electricity, and produces a variety of products available for the public and businesses to buy. They accept all types of waste including general skip waste, clean hard cord, clean earth and stone, wood, green waste and food waste. Bryn Group have supported my clean up projects since early 2021, sponsoring thousands of pounds worth of tipping at no cost to myself. More recently, Bryn Group have sponsored the cost of four CCTV camera poles to help me with my CCTV fly-tipping prevention project.
The Colour House LTD
The Colour House LTD are a local family owned business providing signwriting, vehicle livery, web development and printing services for a low price. The Colour House LTD first started supporting my projects in 2021 where they sponsored the cost for multiple skips to clean up fly tipping hotspots and generously sponsored the printing cost for anti fly tipping signage. More recently, The Colour House have sponsored my project further my donating hundreds of flag poles which have been upcycled as CCTV columns to mount the solar CCTV systems to monitor fly tipping hotspots on the Merthyr & Gelligaer Common.
Hardies Cocktail and Tapas Bar
Hardies is a Cocktail Bar, Bistro, and party venue situated in the heart of Merthyr town centre. Hardies successfully designed a bar that would fit relaxed casual coffee and dining spot in the week and be able to transform into a bustling nightspot on the weekends. Hardies approached me in 2021 and agreed to cover the cost of a 12 Yard Skip which disposed of all the litter from along the road side verges on Bogey Road.
Ainsley Construction LTD
Ainsley Construction Ltd is a family run business established over 30 years ago. From their roots as a stone masonry and restoration company over a quarter century ago to the latest commercial, eco and tech builds of more recent years, they have always strived to deliver the ultimate in quality and finish to their clients. In the last 12 months, Ainsley Construction LTD have sponsored numerous skips which helped me to remove over 18 tonnes of waste. They have sponsored multiple fly-tipping prevention CCTV cameras which are still in operation today and have even helped me deliver a community tyre skip scheme in Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr Tydfil by sponsoring the tyre disposal cost.

After hearing about my aim to clean up the Merthyr & Gelligaer Common, Olivers Skip Hire agreed to support my cause by sponsoring the cost of a 12 Yard Skip.
Andrew Barrett Plant Hire
Andrew Barrett Plant Hire are a local family run business offering Plant Hire services in the Mid Glamorgan area. Andrew Barrett Plant Hire assisted my clean up project by helping to fill a skip full of illicit waste which had been dumped on the Caerphilly side of the common.
Rokel Engineering
Rokel Engineering was established in 1980 in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales - just north of the M4 corridor and strategically located on the Heads of the Valleys arterial route, connecting them to West Wales, the Midlands and beyond. Their 10,500sq ft. factory is situated on a one-acre site, producing work up of to three tonnes in our fully equipped fabrication workshop, with larger constructions also possible on clients’ own sites. While Rokel has always specialised in quality welding and fabrication, the company has taken on a new focus since 2012 when the business came under new ownership. Today the emphasis is on delivering customised fabrication and welding solutions… from concept and design right through to installation and on-site welding. Rokel Engineering has played a major role in making my clean up project possible by not only sponsoring the cost of multiple skips throughout the year and by donating multiple heavy duty CCTV camera poles which have been installed in areas requiring a more 'Heavy duty' approach to fly-tipping prevention.

Refrigerated Trailer Services Limited specialise in the sale and purchase of quality used refrigerated trailers. They are able to purchase anything from one trailer up to entire fleets in excess of 300 trailers at any given time. Formed in 2008, Refrigerated Trailer Services (RTS) focus specifically on the temperature controlled sector or the transport industry and they have excellent knowledge and experience specialising in this area of the market. Over the years they have sold every specification of refrigerated trailer imaginable. RTS offers customers a one-stop-shop for all elements of your business, from the purchase of your trailer to keeping it on the road in the most cost-effective way. RTS is another yet another business that has played a major role in making my clean up project possible. RTS agreed to sponsor the cost of multiple solar powered cameras which operate 24/7 all year around on the Merthyr & Gelligaer Common to prevent illicit dumping.

Merthyr Appliance Centre are a small family run, independent business, established in 1990 and operate from the heart of the Welsh Valleys. MAC offer you the best possible used Home Appliances at the best possible price. Merthyr Appliance Centre reached out to me after hearing about my project and agreed to sponsor the cost of a Solar CCTV Camera which operates 24/7 to prevent illicit dumping.
Rag 'N' Bone Man Waste Removals
Rag 'N' Bone Man Waste Removals are a fully licenced local waste removal and scrap collection business operating in the Merthyr and Caerphilly Borough (and nearby areas). Rag 'N' Bone Man Waste Removals reached out to me in 2021 agreeing to sponsor a fly-tipping prevention camera which now operates along Bogey Road working to prevent fly-tipping.
Sparkles Cleaning Services
Sparkles Cleaning Services offer professional cleaning services including domestic and commercial cleaning services to customers across South Wales. They specialise in office cleaning, domestic cleaning, deep cleaning, carpet cleaning and after-building cleaning. Sparkles Cleaning Services helped support my project by sponsoring the hiring cost for a Grab Lorry which successfully removed 18 tonnes of illicitly dumped waste.

RT Williams Vehicle Repair & Recovery are a family run business based in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales with more than 30 years’ experience of working in the motor vehicle repair & recovery sector. They offer a maintenance support package to meet your every need including 24/7 roadside repair and recovery, allowing your business to operate with confidence as we know the importance of keeping your fleet moving. Back in 2021, RT Williams took time out their day to help me transport a quad bike from Bryn Group to a local farm. I then spent the next few days using the quad to rid the whole of the Bedlinog Common of tonnes of illicit waste. The illicit waste was collected and transported using the quad to a designated drop off point where it was later disposed of in multiple 12-Yard-Skips.
